AOK would like to help strengthen the bond between young people and the elderly in our community.
Our rest homes visits are a fun, easy way to brighten the day of elderly residents and to help children and their parents form healthy, positive relationships with people in rest homes. We coordinate a range of rest home visits around the Cambridge area.
Rest Home Coffee Groups
Our rest home coffee groups run for an hour during the week in Cambridge. They’re a great opportunity for parents/caregivers to bring their baby/toddler to play, read and interact with residents. It’s also a chance to meet other like-minded parents/caregivers. You will attend the same rest home monthly to build and maintain a relationship with the residents.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY REST HOME VISITS
Our school holiday rest home visits run for an hour on weekdays during the school holidays. The visits are aimed at children of all ages, throughout Cambridge. Activities include games, drawing, reading, sharing a favourite toy or book.
